Thank you to all the young photographers from Enstone, Middle Barton, and Great Tew Primary Schools who entered our very first Where We Live! photography competition. We were absolutely thrilled with the response – and honestly, a little overwhelmed by the creativity and thoughtfulness behind so many of your photos.

You really made our job as judges very hard!

Over Easter, you explored your villages and surrounding countryside, capturing stunning shots of local wildlife, flora, heritage buildings, and landscapes. From curious foxes to misty meadows, blossoming trees to centuries-old stone walls, your images showed us all just how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful and biodiverse part of Oxfordshire.

We were impressed not only by your technical skill – some of those shots could be in a professional gallery! – but by the way your photos told stories about the places you call home. Whether it was a ladybird resting on a blade of grass, the golden evening light over a field, or a charming thatched cottage, every entry made us pause and smile.

🌟 And now, the results! 🌟

We had two age groups:
Group A – Reception, Years 1–3
Group B – Years 4–6

Each group had winners across four categories, plus highly commended entries from each school. We also had some special awards…
