Cotswold Automotive Museum (formerly known as Mullin Museum)

ENCON continues to be engaged with the community forum for the Cotswold Automotive Museum.  Despite our objection at the time of both planning applications, we think the Development team have done, and continue to do, a good job about liaising with the local community to address concerns.

Planning: The planning history for the site is somewhat complex.  The ‘2019 planning application’ was approved by WODC in 2020.  Following Ron Burkle’s involvement, a revised full planning application was submitted in 2022 and approved by WODC.   The Mullin team is advancing both planning applications through the detailed processes required to be able to commence building.  The Cotswold Automotive team have been clear since 2022 that they wish to build the revised scheme.  However due to the length of time and complexity of where the planning process intersects with approval from the Highways authority, they are keeping the “2019 planning scheme” extant. This means advancing both planning applications through the detailed design phase in parallel.

Timeline: It's anticipated that construction will start towards the end of 2026 or the first half of 2027.  The construction period will take approximately three years, so the museum will not become operational until 2031.  A construction traffic management plan is being prepared to minimise the impact of traffic during the construction process.

For those who wish to read more, the latest minutes of the Mullin Community Forum will be added to the ENCON website shortly.
